The Kruger National Park is one of the largest National Parks in Africa and home to spectacular wildlife including the Big 5. It covers an area of approximately 20,000km2.
Your tour of the park will begin with you being collected from your accommodation at the crack of dawn by your qualified nature guide. We will travel to Orpen Gate where we’ll enter the park and where your safari experience begins. By lunch time, you will arrive at Satara Rest Camp where there are picnic sites (if you have a packed lunch) and a restaurant. After lunch, you will begin the journey back to your lodge through the park.

Not only does the Panorama Route offer the most remarkable views over the Lowveld, it is also home to a number of phenomenal geographical features, such as waterfalls, gorges, potholes as well as the 3rd largest, and greenest, canyon in the world – the Blyde River Canyon. Time permitting; your qualified guide will take you to the Three Rondavels and views the canyon below, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Lisbon and/or Berlin Falls, and God’s Window, where Northern Drakensberg plunges 900m to the Lowveld. Complete the experience with an optional light lunch at the infamous Harries Pancakes in Graskop.

Meeting just before sunset at the foothills of the Drakensburg Mountains, whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee, your 8-storey high hot air balloon will be inflated before you. After a safety briefing, you will take-off in time to view the sunrise and soar as high as 2,000 feet making for exceptional views and photographic opportunities. The tour is conducted by a fully qualified pilot.

The Blyde River Canyon is a place of pure untouched beauty and is best seen from the water of the Blydepoort Dam. On the cruise you will experience astonishing views of the Blyde River Canyon, a natural wonder that forms part of the Northern Drakensberg, boasting views of the Three Rondawels, The Kadishi Waterfall and Mariepskop. If you are lucky, you may also see hippo and crocodile on shores of the dam. The tour is conducted by a professional guide and skipper.

The centre is world-renowned for its efforts in conservation and wildlife education in South Africa. There are a number of permanent residents at the centre who are ambassadors for their respective species as their injuries are too severe for them to survive in the wild. During your guided tour of the centre, you will get an up close and personal experience of these incredible creatures.
